We are excited and proud to be celebrating our 5th anniversary as Mirbeau Inn & Spa Plymouth.

 

 

 

With the initial launch of the Mirbeau brand in 2000, our owners Linda and Gary Dower knew this was the dawn of something truly special. With the frenetic pace of today’s world and the difficulty in planning long vacations, they recognized the need for short respites to enjoy “classic comforts” and have a moment to reconnect and regroup. The goal was to offer a true getaway with familiar charm and soft-spoken luxury, while still close to “home”. Taking inspiration in part by the soft light, warm colors and introspective character found in the paintings of renowned French Impressionist Claude Monet, our very first Mirbeau Inn & Spa opened in Skaneateles, New York. In 2014, we expanded to Plymouth, MA.

 

Since our opening in 2014, we’ve been recognized by Forbes Travel Guide, named to Condé Nast Traveler’s 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Readers’ Choice Awards, a compilation of the best hotels and resorts in the world, to Condé Nast Traveler’s ‘Top 20 Resorts in New England: Readers’ Choice Awards’ in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, to Travel + Leisure World’s Best Hotels in 2017 and 2018, and as a AAA Four Diamond-designated property.

To celebrate our success and those who have worked so hard get us here, on June 30, we celebrated in true Mirbeau style! Under the tent in our Monet Gardens, employees and partners were welcomed to our anniversary party by a 15’ by 8’ champagne wall, compliments of Patricia Allen and Syltbar. NorthEast Tent & Event Rental helped bring the venue to life with elegant appointments and furnishings while KJ Floral Designs’ stunning floral centerpieces complemented the beautiful linens provided by Peak Event Services. The Mal & Pat Show entertained guests while they enjoyed the delicious hors d’oeuvres and decadent desserts prepared by Chef Jeremy Martin and Katelin Gellar and her talented pastry team. Guests had fun posing with our #MirbeauMoment photo-op sign, hand-crafted by 1620 Designs.

Thunder showers couldn’t dampen the festive spirit of the day. Everyone enjoyed celebrating our journey and we’re all looking forward to our continued success!

Like the rest of the world, we at Mirbeau have been keenly monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This is an unprecedented time in history that leaves us all with great uncertainty. One thing that is certain, however; is that we at Mirbeau will continue to strive at all times to do the right thing. The health, safety, and security of our guests and employees have always been, and will continue to be, our highest priority. Each of us must act with courage and swiftness to do our part in this fight. This means taking unprecedented action to ensure we meet this priority, even if it is detrimental to our business goals.

In accordance with CDC guidelines to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we have decided to take the following measures beginning Tuesday, March 17, until further notice:
 
SPAS
  • Our Spa Mirbeau facilities will be temporarily closed until further notice
  • All Spa Mirbeau Wellness Memberships will be extended for one month
  • All $50 Gift Card Vouchers will be extended extended 1 month from the time we re-open. 

HOTELS
  • Our Mirbeau Inns will be temporarily closed until further notice

RESTAURANTS
  • Our Mirbeau bistros and restaurants will be temporarily closed until further notice


All Spa appointments, Hotel reservations and dining reservations are canceled through April 30th at our Skaneateles, Rhinebeck and Albany locations and through May 5th at our Plymouth location.


While we are saddened that we cannot continue to provide all of our services, we acknowledge the way we can most care for our beloved guests at this time is by not providing those services. We do not presently have a definitive timeframe on when we will resume all operations back to normal, but rest assured, we will.    

This will pass, and we will get through it together. We greatly look forward to continuing providing - Life. Classically Balanced. - as soon as safely possible. We will be staying in close communication and will send updates on our status as they become available.
